There was a bonfire every year to mark Guy Fawkes Night, tell us about that. Oh the bonfire, oh yes I used to have a paper round in the morning and the day after the bonfire we would go round the pond and find pennies and halfpennies, the boys would be looking for fireworks but I would find a few coppers.  November the 5^th was bonfire night and there used to be a dip there but the Council filled it in, there said there was too much with boys messing about so they cancelled it, they said you can’t have a bonfire there anymore so they levelled it, but I can’t remember what year that was.
