The other brother, the younger brother, Wilfred, he started just after the war a building business and he traded under the name of W Stevens of Ham Limited and he employed about 20 men and he was in business up until about 1990 and then he passed away and the business got sold on and the chaps who had bought the business they never kept the name very long and I’ve got a feeling they went bankrupt or whatever or moved on I can’t remember exactly what happened. 

He had a good successful business with a big clientele within about a five mile radius ofhere and he done very well.  He was based in Ham, his original yard would have been basically just a garage at the back of his house in Beaufort Road, but then in later years I think round about 1960 or early 60s here located to Dinton Road in Kingston which is just at the far end of Tudor Drive and he had quite a good size yard there and that’s where he traded fromright until the day he retired
