Ham and Petersham Association

Although Petersham became part of the Borough of Richmond in 1892, Ham was independent until 1933 when the Sudbrook Ward Ratepayers Association was formed because of fears of lack of full representation on the Council.  This later became the Ham and Petersham Ratepayers Association (later adding “and Residents”).  It took its present title in 1989.  The aim of the Association is to protect the special environment of Ham and Petersham and the interest of its residents.  The majority of its work has been to prevent the development and exploitation of the open spaces and to monitor new building.[/lgc_column] <div\>
