My husband was not into taking children on holiday at all. We did a couple of times go camping, which they thought was great fun.  But a) it was very expensive if you wanted to go somewhere and take 4 or 5 children and it was also quite difficult. So we would do things like going to the seaside for a day.  I thought that was awful–I didn’t mind being at the seaside for the day because we usually found a nice quiet spot but it was the trek home after.
